Spouse income from federal contractors

From each member's own annual financial disclosure, which must list where a spouse's earned income came from. House only: 723 electronic reports from 396 sitting members, filing years 2024 and 2025. Scanned paper filings were not read, so a member missing here is not shown to have no tie.

Past or one-time payments

Deferred pay from an earlier job, or a single speaking fee. Not a current job.

A spouse's income is legal and must be disclosed. These rows show what the member reported next to the company's contracts. They do not show that the member acted on the company's behalf or oversees its contracts.

What this directory can't show yetSenators: their disclosures sit on a Senate site that blocks automated downloads, so only House members are checked. Other relatives: no federal form asks members about children, siblings or in-laws, so those ties need reporting, not data. Ownership: a spouse who owns part of a contractor shows up as an asset, not a job, and is not matched yet. Executive branch officials file different forms, released on request. Companies below the top 1,000 recipients are not listed.

Sources: USAspending.gov awards API; Senate Lobbying Disclosure Act filings; House Clerk financial disclosure reports. Contracts are obligations (money the government committed) on awards of type A–D, 2020-10-01 to 2026-09-30. A company is its recipient records grouped by name, plus the subsidiaries listed for companies on the Pentagon contracts page; a subsidiary with a different name is its own row. Lobbying is matched by name to Senate filings since 2021 and is a floor. Spouse employers are matched by name and every match is checked by hand. Updated 2026-11-07.
